Super Eagles had such a full training session yesterday ahead of today’s Match Day 3 AFCON qualifying session, where they expressed their determination to secure the maximum points in their Match against Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars in Benin City.
Players who spoke to newsmen right after their training session on Wednesday night at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium said they were focused on their desire to beat their opponent.
Victor Osimhen, noting that he was glad to be back on the squad, said, “We’re going to be back.
“We want nothing but a victory; it’s not going to be easy, but we’re going to give all of us.” Napoli’s Italian star, however, expressed disappointment that fans won’t be able to enter the stadium for the match.
However, he appealed to them (fans) to watch and follow them from home. If he’s going to score in the match, Osimhen said, “My goals are coming, but the team ‘s victory is my overall desire.” Joe Aribo, who said he was overwhelmed by the love of Benin’s football fans, said that Eagles will play their regular game and win the match.

Additionally, Eagles coach Gernot Rohr expressed satisfaction over the physical and mental condition of the players.
He said that three of the players, Victor Osimen, Jami Kola, and Semi Ajayi, were picked out for special training because they “came to Benin after a long journey” while he said that two players were still planned.
