Here in this post, we are to talk about the popular Obinna “Obi” Iyiegbu (born 12 April 1975), who is a Nigerian businessman, socialist, entertainer, and philanthropist. He currently chairs the Cubana Group.

Iyiegbu was born on 12 April 1975 in Anambra State and his mother is Ezinne Iyiegbu. He is from Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is married to Ebele Iyiegbu. They have four children together namely Alex, Ifeanyi, Ebube, and Kosisochukwu.

He went to Central Primary School in Oba. After his elementary school education, he continued his secondary education at Dennis Memorial Grammar School.

Obi Cubana graduated with a Second Class Honours; Upper division from the Department of Political Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Career

Obi Cubana is a young Nigerian entrepreneur when he was still studying at UNN, he started a small business to clear his fees and bills. After graduating, he moved to Abuja to focus on entrepreneurship. He began with interior design and started expanding his network in the job markets.

In 1999, he got a contract from a senator to execute his mansion’s interior that was where his success began; which led him to expand the business and venture into other businesses.

In 2006, he invested in the nightlife business, which bore Ibiza Club, his flagship club in Abuja. He grew successful in this line and became one of the leading clubs in Abuja. In 2009, he built another club in Imo State, naming it “Club Cubana“.

Recently, Obi expanded his real estate investment, becoming a renowned property developer. The Nigerian businessman launched an “Alcoholic company, Odogwu Bitters“.

Obi Cuban Personal life

In 2008, Obi Cubana got married to Ebele Iyiegbu who is a Lawyer by profession at Bryan Micheals & Associates as a Legal Partner. She is also the founder of the “KIEK Foundation”, a non-governmental organization established to improve the lives of the less privileged children in our society through quality education, healthcare, and child’s rights.

The union was blessed with four sons Alex, Ifeanyi, Ebube, and Kosisochukwu.
