COVID-19 task force has given an approval for NYSC camps to reopen

The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 said on Twitter that there is a green light for NYSC camps to reopen for prospective corp members.

Dr Sani Aliyu, PTF national Coordinator, said that the federal and state health authorities are working round the clock with all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDA) to ensure the successful operation of NYSC orientation camps in the nation.

In a tweet, The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19  has certified all the NYSC Orientation Camps across the nation as COVID-19 compliant and ready to welcome prospective corps members who have been waiting at home for a long time due to the pandemic.

A statement released by the PTF on Tuesday, November 10, indicates that PTF Infection, Prevention, and Control (IPC) delegates visited the orientation camps in all the 36 states and FCT to ensure the readiness of the facilities in the Orientation camps and state health centers.

In line with the Presidential Task Force guidelines, NYSC orientation camps in various states are to have COVID-19 sample collection centers, a minimum of one Ambulance in case of emergencies, Water supply, Alcoholic hand sanitizer, etc for adequate operation.
