The new brand-talented, Nigerian musician and songwriter currently signed to Mavins Records, Johnny Drille, has wowed his fans and listeners with yet another trending song titled “Believe Me.”
Nigerian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Drille performs music. On July 5, 1990, in Nigeria’s Edo State, he was given the name John Ighodaro. Johnny Drille, the fourth of five children, was born into a family of seven. He started playing the piano when he was just 7 years old and developed a love for music at a young age.
Johnny Drille started his music career as a contestant on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013, where he finished in the seventh position. He then released a cover of “Awww” by Di’Ja, which caught the attention of Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records.
Johnny Drille joined Mavin Records in 2015, and his debut single “Wait For Me” was made available that same year. He gained enormous acclaim in Nigeria and elsewhere thanks to the song, which became an instant smash. More commercially successful singles were later released by him, including “My Beautiful Love,” “Romeo & Juliet,” “Halleluya” (featuring Simi), and “Count On You.”
