Talented Nigerian afro-fusion music act, Burna Boy backed to the music scene to address the Nigerian situation, he released a single called “20 10 20”.
Following the massacre of # EndSars protesters in Lekki Lagos, Nigeria’s award-winning sensation, Burna Boy expresses her pains/feelings about the recent killings of Nigerian youth protesting peacefully at Lekki Toll-Gate to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. On 20 October 2020 Lekki Massacre spoke about how the Nigerian Army killed patriotic Nigerian youth performing their civil rights, as well as about the governor’s attitudes and behavior towards the situation.
In addition, The track “20 10 20” was launched by Burna Boy on October 29, 2020. It was nine days after the Nigerian armed forces fired and killed unarmed demonstrators in Lekki, Lagos State. The date of the bloody incident is used as the title of the album (i.e. October 20, 2020).
In his song Burna Boy shows his displeasure and pain at this act, he condemned it by sending his message to the President of Nigeria, the Governor of Lagos State, the political godfather of Lagos State, the lawmakers, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and the Nigerian Government in general.
