Ghanaian artist, Amaarae has released a brand-new single called “Leave Me Alone.”
Leave Me Alone’s dance hall-inflected riddim is a pure West African vibe, full of lush and overarching guitar licks that pull abundantly from the high-life and Afrobeat tradition.
Lyrically, “Leave Me Alone” is about learning how to protect one’s peace regardless of the underlying circumstances. “Talking, talking, talking, talking, but talking is cheap – I don’t need a favor from anyone but God, plus I’ve got me.”
